Should I tip the seamstress??

My daughter and I had 3 fittings with various alterations made to our gowns for my wedding (she's the flower girl, I'm the bride). I've spent around $300 total on alterations. She's done a great job, and very helpful. Should I tip her? Is it normal to tip for alterations to the bridal gown?

Should I tip the seamstress??
For $300 already spent, I wouldn't tip. But I did send a note to the bridal shop after my wedding, thanking them for their help throughout the process and especially praised the work of the seamstress.
Reply:Is it her own shop or does she work for a shop? If it is her shop, No tip. If she works for the shop, tip her.
Reply:Did she do them in a timely manner?

Did you have any problems with her?

Did she go above and beyond the call of duty?

If so, then if you want to.
Reply:If she owns the shop, you don't usually tip. They charge enough so they can make a living.

If she did something extraordinary (aside from just doing her job) she won't complain if you tip her.
Reply:I don't think it's required at all, but if you want to give her a little something than I would buy her a gift instead.
Reply:yes
