Catholic wedding?

I'm Catholic and I'm getting married next month and I have a question reg. music. If anyone has been married in the Church, do you remember how many songs were needed and for what purposes? I know, bridal party processional, bride processional, the ave maria for flower offering, music during communion and the recessional...anything else? Thanks!

Catholic wedding?
I'm not sure...but usually they have someone in charge of the music that would mind that for you.

I think it's pretty much the standard songs of the mass, like the opening/entrance songs, the Gloria, the offetory, etc.

But of course there are a couple of extra songs for the wedding like the entrance of the bride and the song of the couple as they exit.

Have a great and blessed wedding. God bless. ^_^
Reply:Its your wedding, so you do have flexibility to structure it as you like. You can also have non-religious music as long as it is respectful of the occasion.

I would speak to the priest he will be used to the less and the more in terms of numbers of songs.
Reply:At some point, you and your fiance need to meet with your parish's music director. He/she will help you select appropriate music for every part of your wedding ceremony.
Reply:You would have to discuss this with your priest at the meetings you have before you get married it may vary from church to church!
